Enjoy the peace and comfort of Onion Creek Farm and Guest House located just minutes from the heart of Ames and Iowa State University. Our guest house has one comfortable bedroom, a kitchenette and a bath with composting toilet. A whole-house fan cools the house in summer and passive solar design helps warm the rooms in winter; there is no air conditioning.
We've been growing high quality food for our local market using organic methods since 1998. Onion Creek Farm produces herbs, onions, garlic, heirloom tomatoes and okra. OCF strives to be an example of sustainable design and environmentally conscious living. We enjoy music, dance, good food, guests and lively conversation.

We are located on the northwest edge of Ames, Iowa. Travel north on North Dakota Avenue. Go one mile north of the RR track, turn right on Onion Creek Lane (gravel). Follow signs… stay to the left as the road forks.
